NATASHA BUCKERIDGE
The Teacher Originally From Wales, Natasha began her singing career in various live bands, tributes and an acoustic outfit performing up and down the U.K, also dabbling in Musical Theatre, (Into The Woods, W.N.O’s ‘Cinderella’, Godspell, Pirates Of Penzance) Film and Television, (Pobl Y Cwm, The Proposition, BBC’s ‘Casualty 1907/1908’) over the years. Since arriving in Toronto, after a brief hiatus Natasha has embarked upon a career in voice-over and re-ignited her passion for singing, performing a wide repertoire of Jazz, Pop, Swing, Rock , Musical Theatre, and even Light Opera at various venues throughout the city. She is grateful to Canada and Canadians for teaching her that’s it’s never too late! |

The Co-Worker Kevin is thrilled to make his SummerWorks 'Musical Works in Concert' Series debut in Recurring John. ARLENE DUNCAN
The Park Dweller ARLENE DUNCAN is a multi-talented singer and actor who works in television, film, theatre, radio…and the web. Her film & television credits include: Covert Affairs, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Winging It, Flashpoint, Rookie Blue, The Ron James Show, Mr. D., Being Erica, A Fighting Man, Silent Revelation 3D and the web series' But I'm Chris Jericho & Teenagers. Her theatre credits include: Sophisticated Ladies, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Once on this Island (Canadian Stage), The Who’s Tommy and her Dora Mavor Moore & Toronto Theatre Critics Award winning role of Caroline Thibodeaux in the musical Caroline or Change. She is the recipient of the 2012 African Canadian Achievement Award in the Arts category & 2014 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominee for Mama Euralie in Once on this Island (Acting Up Stage). Arlene also appears as the voices of Officer Rabbit on the popular children’s cartoons, Franklin the Turtle and as Mama Zungu in Bobo & Kipi but is probably best known for her six seasons as Fatima Dinssa in the CBC comedy Little Mosque on the Prairie. www.arleneduncan.com |
ALEXIS GORDON
The Mother Alexis is a graduate of the Acting program at The University of Windsor, since then she has appeared in an array of works. Those include, singing and playing the ukulele in Godspell (Victoria Petrolia Playhouse), taking on the role of Titania in a musical version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Driftwood Theatre), and in the world premiere and co-production of award winning playwright, Beth Graham’s heartbreaking play, The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble at The Factory Theatre, alongside Obsidian Theatre Company. Alexis was one of the first winners of the “Syd and Shirley Banks Prize for Emerging Artists” in the 2012/2013 season with Acting Up Stage Theatre Company. Alexis is excited to return to the SummerWorks Festival, where she was last seen in Paradises Lost in the 2013 season. |
CHRISTOPHER TSUJIUCHI
The Friend Chris is a graduate of Sheridan College's Musical Theatre Performance program. Performance credits include Paradises Lost (2013 SummerWorks Festival, 'Musical Works in Concert'), and Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors (Lower Ossington Theatre). Musical Direction credits include A Misfortune (Next Stage Festival), HAIR (FirstAct Productions), One Song Glory '10 '11 & '12 (ActingUp Stage), A Joyful Noise (co-composer/lyricist, Smile Theatre), Mickey & Judy (Toronto Fringe), and bare: the Canadian Premiere (WatersEdge Productions). Chris has also worked as an accompanist and teacher at Sheridan College, Randolph Academy and George Brown College. He has toured extensively with the Nathaniel Dett Chorale as a singer and with Sharron Matthews as an accompanist/arranger (Sharron's Big Broadway Show, Jesus Thinks I'm Funny, GOLD, Full Dark). He can also be seen in his biannual "chris-terical" series of cabarets at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. |
JENNIFER WALLS
The Daughter Jennifer is a Toronto-based musical theatre performer, voice actor, host and producer. As a performer, she has played lead roles in Beauty and the Beast, Wizard of Oz, RENT, Into The Woods, The Rocky Horror Show, the Canadian premieres of Reefer Madness and High Fidelity, Angelwalk Theatre's Dora nominated Off Broadway, On Stage with whom she sits on the Artist Advisory Board. She has also performed in several of her own Cabarets. Most notably she received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Liza Minnelli in her self-produced one-woman show Liza Live! at both Toronto Next Stage and Fringe Festivals as well as several cities outside the GTA. She reprised her role as Liza in Liza And Barbra Together At Last presented at the Toronto Centre for the Performing arts. Most recently she originated the role of Jim in Hugh & I at the Toronto Fringe.Up next, Jennifer will be starring in Everything Elvis at the Victoria Playhouse in September. As a voice actor, she has most notably voiced characters on Disney's Harriet The Spy 2, PBS's Peg + Cat, Amazon's Creative Galaxy as well as the voice of the 2013 product campaign for Garnier Fructis. She has also toured across North America as a tribute artist, performing as Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, and most notably as Lady Gaga. As a host Jennifer was the 2012-13 season host for Theatre Passe Murielle's CRAPSHOOT, A Craigslist Cabaret and An Elogies Cabaret with Acting UpStage. She also hosts and produces SINGular Sensation, a weekly musical theatre event that attracts both established talent and up and coming vocalists in Toronto's Church Wellesley Village. As a producer, Jennifer has produced two seasons of The Rocky Horror Show with the LOT Theatre, TWEED, An Original Canadian Musical with Iana Theatre Company, Baker's Dozen, part of this year's Festival of Clowns and Toronto Fringe Festival, Confessions of a Redheaded Coffee Shop Girl at the Toronto Fringe, and The Big Broadgay Revue for the 2014 World Pride Festival in Toronto. When not on stage, behind the mic or producing, Jennifer brings musical theatre to elementary schools around the GTA and teaches voice privately. She is a mental health advocate and motivational speaker. |
PAULA WOLFSON
The Ex-Wife A theatre professional since 1980 (Godspell at the Bayview Playhouse), Paula has played much of the North American continent with "mega-musical" tours (Les Miserables; Beauty and the Beast) and regional dramas (Charlottetown PEI to Victoria BC). She was born and raised in Toronto, but gave part of her heart to Vancouver where she lived for 5 years, earning a Jessie Richardson Award nomination (Elvis and Mavis) and a shared "Jessie" for the ensemble work of Dorothy Dittrich's When We Were Singing. Paula won the 2000 Dora Mavor Moore award for her "outstanding performance" in Shaking the Foundations at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Toronto. Credits: Les Miserables (the first Toronto production, and National Tour); Beauty and the Beast (Toronto & 2nd US National Tour); Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Sony Centre; A New Brain (Acting Up Stage), The Musical of Musicals: The Musical presented by Mirvish at the Panasonic Theatre, Toronto.
